Spoken interaction with Grok across platforms.
Voice is how users speak to Grok instead of only typing. It is an interaction mode on top of the same models, designed for conversation, hands-free use, and — when connectors are enabled — spoken access to external tools and accounts.
Voice matters because it changes how Grok fits into a day: walking, driving, accessibility needs, or any moment when a keyboard is the wrong interface. Official updates have treated Voice as a first-class surface, not a side experiment.
Platforms and voices
Official @grok announcements have described Voice connector support and voice features across iOS, Android, and web. Separate updates have introduced additional voice options on those same platforms.
Those posts are about access and choice: where you can use Voice, and which voices you can pick. They are not full technical specifications of the speech stack.
What connectors are
Connectors are how Grok reaches external tools and accounts — for example email or calendar — so a session can look things up or take action, not only reply in text or speech.
On 5 August 2026, @grok stated that connectors are available in Voice Mode:
Connectors are now available in Voice Mode. Ask Grok about your emails, check your daily meetings, or use any of your existing connectors, just by talking.
That is the official definition Grokati uses. Exact supported services depend on what a user has connected and what xAI has enabled. This page does not list every connector or claim that all of them work the same way.
